Ghana’s Minister for Sports and Recreation Designate, Kofi Adams has expressed his commitment to reviving the fortunes of the Black Stars, Ghana’s senior national football team.

Adams’ remarks come at a time when the Black Stars are facing mounting challenges, including their recent failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The team’s struggles have raised concerns among fans and stakeholders, with calls for structural reforms and renewed focus on talent development.

Speaking passionately about his vision for the country’s sports sector, Adams emphasized the importance of restoring the team to its former glory.

“We want to see our Black Stars rise again,” Adams declared on GH One TV.

The Sports Minister Designate also outlined his plans to prioritize grassroots football development.

“I believe in grassroots football.” The added.

The Black Stars of Ghana will play their next game in March against Chad and Madagascar in the World Cup qualifiers.
