Aduana Stars claimed their maiden away victory of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season with a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over bottom-placed Legon Cities at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

The match was decided by Abdel Latif Bamba’s crucial goal in the 43rd minute. The Ivorian forward capitalized on a perfectly delivered cross from Godfred Poku Wakii, calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner to give Aduana Stars the lead just before halftime.

Despite dominating possession for large portions of the game, the home side struggled to create clear-cut chances against the Fire Boys’ organized backline.

The three points elevate the Fire Boys to 11th place on the league table with 17 points, easing some pressure on the team.

For Legon Cities, the defeat compounds an already dire season. The Royals remain rooted to the bottom of the table, struggling to find form or solutions to their ongoing woes.
