Kwame Opoku Earns Praise from Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum

Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has commended Kwame Opoku for his impactful return to the club, hailing the striker’s quick adjustment and contribution to the team.

Opoku made an emphatic statement on his comeback, scoring on his debut to secure a 2-0 victory over Bibiani Gold Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Reflecting on the performance, Dr. Ogum attributed Opoku’s success to his innate talent and ability to seamlessly integrate into the squad.

“I’m not surprised because his natural talent is evident, and he’s effectively used it to fit right back into the team,” said Dr. Ogum. “He’s developed strong chemistry with his teammates, which is a positive sign for us.”

The goal marked a triumphant return for Opoku, who rejoined Kotoko after two years abroad. During his initial stint in the 2020-21 season, he showcased his scoring prowess by netting seven goals in just 16 Ghana Premier League appearances.
