Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko is shifting focus to their upcoming Ghana Premier League fixture against Dreams FC, set for Friday, April 11, as the team looks to bounce back from a narrow defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak.

The Mauve and Yellow suffered a 1-0 loss in their week 26 encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium, a result Tanko believes could have been avoided if not for costly errors.

“I think that we are going to approach the game like the way we are approaching our games and when you look at the goals we conceded, it’s a mistake from us and that is what we have been working on at training,” the Medeama boss told the club’s official website.

Tanko, who took over the reins of the two-time FA Cup champions earlier this season, remains confident in his squad’s ability to respond positively and give the home fans a reason to smile again.

“So I am sure when they [fans] come on Friday, they will have their peace to watch the game and hopefully they will go back with happiness,” he added.

Medeama currently sit 7th on the Ghana Premier League table with 38 points from 25 matches. A win on Friday could potentially push them closer to the top four as the season approaches its final stretch.
