Legon Cities Strengthen Squad with Signing of Robert Sowah Addo
Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities has added former Hearts of Oak defender Robert Sowah Addo to their ranks as they aim to turn their fortunes around in the ongoing season.
The experienced center-back, who left Hearts of Oak in June 2023, makes a return to the domestic league with a mission to shore up the struggling defense of Legon Cities.
Sowah Addo brings a wealth of experience, having been part of a league-winning Hearts of Oak squad, and is expected to play a pivotal role in the team’s fight to avoid relegation.
His signing marks the fifth January acquisition for the Royals, who have also secured the services of Elijah Satekla and Emmanuel Gyamfi, a former standout player of Asante Kotoko.
Legon Cities, endured a difficult first half of the league campaign, finishing 17th with just 14 points.
With their defensive frailties highlighted in the first round, the club is banking on Sowah Addo’s expertise to stabilize their backline.
