WAFU B Confirms New Dates for 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers
The Zonal Executive Committee of the West Africa Football Union B (WAFU B) has approved revised dates for the 2025 edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B Zonal Qualifiers.
Ghana will be represented by Police Ladies, winners of the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, who are set to make their debut at this level of the continental competition.
In a communication sent to the General Secretaries of all participating member associations, the committee cited operational considerations as the basis for the change in schedule.
The tournament, originally slated for earlier dates, will now be held from August 23 to September 4, 2025, in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire. While the host city remains unchanged, the adjustment is intended to allow adequate time for finalizing key organizational logistics in preparation for the regional competition.
The group stage draw for the competition is expected to take place next week, with the exact date to be confirmed and shared with all stakeholders in due course.
All qualified clubs are being advised to take note of the updated dates and adjust their plans accordingly to ensure full readiness for the tournament.
