Team Ghana is poised to wrap up its participation in the maiden edition of the African School Games with a strong presence in athletics on the final day of competition.

Scheduled for Monday, August 4, Ghanaian athletes will feature in five major events, all finals, as they aim to boost the country’s medal haul in what has been a highly competitive tournament hosted in Algeria.

Final Day Events Featuring Ghanaian Athletes:

  • Women’s 200m Final (5:20 PM)
    Ghana’s Sulemana Fulera will look to bring her sprinting prowess to bear as she lines up in the women’s 200m final.

  • Women’s Triple Jump Final (5:25 PM)
    Egyan Christiana will represent Ghana in the triple jump final, hoping to land a podium finish.

  • Men’s 800m Final (6:05 PM)
    Middle-distance runner Nuhu Richford will aim for gold in the men’s 800m final, a challenging event that demands both strategy and endurance.

  • Women’s Medley Relay Final (6:50 PM)
    Team Ghana’s women’s medley relay squad is set to battle for honours in the evening race finale.

  • Men’s Medley Relay Final (7:05 PM)
    The men’s medley relay team will take to the track shortly after the women’s final, capping off Ghana’s schedule for the day.
