Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has praised his side’s resilience after their narrow 1-0 victory against Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League on Friday evening.

The Phobians claimed all three points at the Accra Sports Stadium thanks to a decisive first-half strike from Enoch Asubonteng. Despite the early lead, the match turned into a tense affair, with the visitors pushing hard in search of an equaliser.

In his post-match reflections, Dramani admitted the contest was far from straightforward, noting the threat posed by an opponent desperate to turn their fortunes around after a poor start to the campaign.

“A team having just one point from their first two games will try to come in strong. They tried to run at us, and we need to be careful. We tried to contain them as well. It’s very important that when you have this type of result, you believe in yourself that you can protect and you can also score,” Dramani explained.

The Hearts coach also lauded his team’s defensive organisation and ability to hold on under pressure, stressing that such results are vital for building momentum in a long season.

The win marks Hearts of Oak’s second of the 2025/26 league campaign and temporarily lifts them to the summit of the table, pending the outcome of the remaining Week 3 fixtures over the weekend.
