“I am predicting a win for Asante Kotoko”- Evans Owusu
Former Asante Kotoko defender Evans Owusu has expressed confidence in his former club ahead of the much-anticipated Super Clash against archrivals Hearts of Oak.
The two most successful teams in Ghana will lock horns in a Ghana Premier League fixture at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday, 15th December 2024.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Owusu predicted a win for the Porcupine Warriors while acknowledging the unpredictable nature of the fixture.
“In football, anything can happen, so I wouldn’t write Hearts of Oak off because we know the nature of this fixture. However, I am predicting a win for Asante Kotoko,” Owusu told sportsboom.
The defender, who enjoyed a successful stint with Kotoko, highlighted how the club shaped his career, providing him with a platform to showcase his talent and the unwavering love and support of their passionate fans.
“Playing for Asante Kotoko has helped me so much; they gave me a platform to showcase my talent, and I also had the opportunity to enjoy the love and support from the fans. So, I am predicting a win for Asante Kotoko,” he added.
The home side, Kotoko is 7th on the log with 18 points while Hears of Oak are 6th with 19 points.
