Sports Minister Backs Black Stars to Conquer Global Stage

Ghana’s Sports and Reaction Minister Kofi Adams has expressed strong belief in the potential of the Black Stars, insisting the national team has what it takes to compete for football’s biggest prize.

Speaking during an interview on Channel One TV, the minister struck an optimistic tone while addressing the future of the senior national team, even as efforts continue to strengthen the squad.

Adams highlighted the depth of talent available to Ghana, suggesting that with the right guidance and structure, the Black Stars can rise to challenge the world’s elite nations.

“We have what it takes to go very far, maybe even win the World Cup. Let’s remain hopeful,” he added.

Ghana have been housed in Group L of the 2026 World Cup with Panama, Croatia and England.

His remarks come at a time when Ghana is undergoing a period of transition, with renewed focus on rebuilding a competitive team capable of restoring its reputation on the international stage.
