Ghanaian footballers put on stellar performances across various leagues over the weekend, showcasing their skills and helping their teams in crucial matches

ENGLAND

In the Premier League, Antoine Semenyo Scored his seventh goal of the season in Bournemouth’s emphatic 5-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Tariq Lamptey: Played 74 minutes in Brighton’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Everton while Thomas Partey contributed to Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Wolves, solidifying the Gunners’ title challenge.

Winger, Mohammed Kudus also featured in West Ham’s 1-1 draw against Aston Villa with Jordan Ayew Playeing  87 minutes in Leicester City’s crucial 2-1 victory over Tottenham.

In the championship, Darko Gyabi Delivered a key assist in Plymouth Argyle’s draw against Sunderland. His teammate,  Michael Baidoo came on for 26 minutes for Plymouth. Salis Abdul Samed played 61 minutes for Sunderland in the stalemate while Thomas Brandon Asante featured for 71 minutes in Coventry’s 2-1 win over Watford.

In league 2, Tarique Fosu made a brief cameo for Northampton in their draw with Wycombe. Jojo Wollacott: conceded two goals while in post for Crawley in their game against Stockport County.

France

In the French Ligue 1, Elisha Owusu & Gideon Mensah both featured in Auxerre’s 1-1 draw with St. Etienne with young prodigy Augustine Boakye playing 85 minutes for St. Etienne in the same game.

Monaco recorded a 3-2 victory over Rennes. Ball playing defender, Mohammed Salisu was in action for Monaco. Andre Ayew played the full 90 minutes for Le Havre in their 1-0 loss to Brest.

Ernest Nuamah Scored his first league goal of the season in Lyon’s 1-1 draw against Nantes.

In Ligue 2, Koffi Kouao featured in Metz’s commanding 3-0 victory over Grenoble.

 

Belgium

Denis Odoi played the full 90 minutes in Antwerp’s 1-1 draw with St. Truiden. Christopher Bonsu-Baah played 82 minutes in Genk’s 2-1 win over Westerlo. Francis Abu featured in Cercle Brugge’s 1-1 draw against Charleroi.

Germany

 Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer was on the score sheet again for Hamburgrt SV as he scored a stunner as his ninth goal of the season in Hamburger SV’s thrilling 3-2 win over Hertha Berlin in Bundesliga 2.

Switzerland

Kasim Adams played 72 minutes in Servette’s stalemate with Yverdon. Lawrence Ati-Zigi & Stephan Ambrosius both featured in St. Gallen’s 3-2 win over Lausanne. Jonas Adjetey played the entire 90 minutes in Basel’s commanding 4-1 win over Sion.

Turkey

Kingsley Schindler played a pivotal role in Samsunspor’s 2-1 victory over Gaziantep. Emmanuel Boateng: saw 46 minutes of action for Gaziantep in the same game. In other games, Joseph Attamah was sent off in Kayserispor’s heavy 5-2 loss to Sivasspor while Yaw Ackah: Played 45 minutes for Kayserispor as a substitute.

Jerome Opoku also featured in Basksehir’s 5-4 defeat in a thrilling nine-goal encounter against Alanyaspor while Alexander Djiku played 90 minutes for Fenerbahce in their 3-2 victory over Goztepe.
