Kobby Stonne Named Among Top Ghanaian Journalists for U.S. Embassy World Cup Media Training
Multimedia Group Limited’s Alex Kobina Stonne, popularly known as Kobby Stonne, has been selected among a group of top Ghanaian journalists for the U.S. Embassy Ghana World Cup Media Training Programme, held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
The training, organised by the U.S. Embassy in Ghana, is aimed at equipping selected journalists with the skills and knowledge required to effectively cover major international sporting events, particularly the FIFA World Cup.
Kobby Stonne’s selection underscores his growing influence and contribution to sports journalism in Ghana, especially through his work with Multimedia Group Limited.
Speaking after participating in the programme, Kobby Stonne expressed appreciation for the opportunity and reflected on the impact of the training.
“I am truly honoured to have participated in this training. It was a highly insightful experience, and I had the opportunity to learn from distinguished facilitators, including the U.S. Embassy’s Consul General, Elliot Fertik, and Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Rolf Olson.

The sessions have strengthened my perspective on international sports coverage, and I am confident that the knowledge gained will significantly enhance my contribution to sports journalism in Ghana and beyond.”
The programme brought together experienced media professionals from across the country, providing a platform to build capacity, exchange ideas, and learn best practices in modern sports reporting.
This initiative forms part of the U.S. Embassy’s ongoing commitment to supporting media development and strengthening professional journalism in Ghana.
