Genk winger Christopher Bonsu Baah is keeping a level-headed approach to his early days with the Black Stars, choosing not to self-assess his performances in Ghana’s recent friendly matches against Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago during the Unity Cup in London.

The 20-year-old made his senior national team debut in the high-profile clash against Nigeria and followed it up with another lively display against Trinidad and Tobago, catching the eye with his pace, dribbling, and work ethic. However, despite the praise he has received, Bonsu Baah insists he is leaving the evaluation to the technical team led by Otto Addo.

“I will leave everything to the coach because he was the one who was watching the game, so he has to tell me if I did well or I did not do well,” Bonsu Baah told Joy Sports.

“But for me, I just give my all for the country and to help the nation.”

His calm and composed reaction to what many consider a promising start reflects the humility and professionalism that have characterized his rise in European football with Belgian side KRC Genk.

While fans and pundits have already begun touting him as a potential star in Ghana’s quest to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Bonsu Baah remains focused on continuous improvement and following the guidance of the technical staff.
