Ibrahim Tanko has called for a strong response from Medeama SC following their slip from the summit of the Ghana Premier League, insisting the title race remains wide open.

The Tarkwa-based club dropped to second place after a 2-1 defeat to Dreams FC on matchday 26, a result that allowed Bibiani Gold Stars to move ahead in the standings.

Despite the setback, Tanko remains confident his side can bounce back, urging his players to show resilience in the final stretch of the campaign.

“Now our focus shifts to the next game. We must keep working hard and ensure we secure maximum points. With eight matches remaining, we will prepare thoroughly and approach each one with determination,” he said.

Having once held a comfortable lead at the top, Medeama now face a renewed challenge to reclaim momentum in what is shaping into a tightly contested title race.

With eight matches still to play, Tanko’s side remain firmly in contention, but their margin for error has narrowed significantly as rivals continue to apply pressure.

The focus now shifts to consistency and mentality, with Medeama determined to respond strongly and keep their championship ambitions alive.
