Asante Kotoko Fan Tragically Killed After Ghana Premier League Clash Against Nsoatreman FC
Asante Kotoko has confirmed the heartbreaking passing of a dedicated supporter, identified as Polley, who tragically lost his life after being stabbed multiple times following the club’s Ghana Premier League match against Nsoatreman FC on Sunday.
In an official statement, the club revealed that members of the media and travelling fans from Kumasi were ambushed after the match at Nana Konamansah Park and confirmed the death of the fan.
During the violent altercation, Polley sustained severe stab wounds and was rushed to the hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries.

The tragic incident followed a heated contest in which Nsoatreman FC secured a 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in their Week 19 league fixture.
Emotions ran high as some players engaged in a post-match scuffle, further intensifying when spectators, reportedly Nsoatreman FC supporters, began throwing objects at Kotoko’s bench.
The violent scenes have sparked widespread outrage across the football community, with many calling for immediate action to ensure the safety of fans, players, and officials at league venues.
