Ibrahim Tanko Demands Response From Medeama Players After Winless Run
Head coach of Medeama SC, Ibrahim Tanko, has voiced concern over his team’s recent performances after their 2–1 home defeat to Hohoe United FC in the Ghana Premier League.
The loss has prolonged Medeama’s difficult spell in the competition, with the Tarkwa-based club now enduring a five-match winless streak. During that run, the league leaders have suffered two defeats, a development that has raised worries within the team despite their continued hold on the summit of the standings with 46 points.
Tanko admitted after the match that he intends to hold talks with his squad in a bid to address the issues affecting their performances.
“We have to put it in our back because we still have nine games to play. I think I have to meet with the players and then see the way forward,” he said.
The former Ghana international also questioned the attitude displayed by some players and stressed the need for reflection as the league season approaches its decisive stage.
“I’m not happy with some of their attitude. We have to look at our game and talk about it and concentrate on the next game,” Tanko told journalists following the defeat.
Medeama will look to halt their winless run when they face Dreams FC in their Matchday 26 encounter on March 22, with the leaders eager to regain momentum in the title race.
