Didi Dramani outlines strategy to beat Nigeria
Black Galaxies head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has emphasized the importance of strategy and tactical discipline as Ghana prepares to face Nigeria in the first leg of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
The much-anticipated clash is set to take place tomorrow at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Coach Dramani highlighted the competitive spirit and shared football pedigree of the two nations.
“Ghana and Nigeria are two great football nations in Africa and have a lot in common,” he noted. “Nigeria has the physicality, which we will always respect, but we will play to our strengths.” He told Victor Kwawu
Coach Dramani outlined his approach to the game, focusing on Ghana’s ability to maintain control both on and off the ball.
“I believe we will always have our moments, and we will try as much as possible to control the game with and without the ball,” he explained. “Control of spaces will be key, and we must take our moments in the best possible ways.” He added.
This first-leg encounter is critical for both teams, as they aim to secure a spot in the CHAN tournament scheduled to be hosted in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania in 2025.
