Dreams FC head coach, Winfred Dormon, has expressed confidence in his side’s readiness as they prepare to take on giants Hearts of Oak in their matchday two fixture of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Park.

The much-anticipated clash is scheduled for Monday, September 22, 2025, with both sides aiming for their first victory of the new season.

Dreams FC endured a difficult start to the season, falling to defeat against Heart of Lions in Kpando. Their upcoming opponents, Hearts of Oak, also struggled in their opener, settling for a goalless draw against newly-promoted Hohoe United.

Dormon, himself a former Phobian, is no stranger to this clash, having overseen Dreams FC’s last victory over Hearts during their FA Cup-winning campaign in 2023.

“Fans who will be witnessing this game will never be disappointed. We can only promise that Dreams FC will play an interesting and exciting football,” Dormon assured in an interview with Mo TV.

He went on to outline the tactical approach his side has been working on, emphasizing efficiency in attack:
“The fans who will come will continue to see a Dreams FC team that will play from zone 1, zone 2 and a quick transition to zone 3. And this time we want to improve our conversion ratio. We cannot play very well in Kpando and earn nothing from that game. We expect that when we create the opportunity the final third will be positive.”

Reflecting on his history against his former club, the coach remained upbeat about repeating past successes.
“This is not the first time I have beaten them as a player and as a coach. We want to promise one thing, the supporters that will come to the Tema Nii Adjei Kraku park will experience exciting football,” he noted.
