GPL and Women’s Premier League winners to receive cars in new GFA partnership
Ghana Football Association has unveiled a new sponsorship agreement with JAC Motors that will see clubs, players and coaches rewarded with brand-new vehicles from the 2026/27 football season.
The partnership was officially launched in Accra on Tuesday as part of efforts to increase incentives within domestic football and attract greater corporate support for the local game.
Under the arrangement, champions of both the Ghana Premier League and the Women’s Premier League will each receive a new vehicle in recognition of their title-winning campaigns.
The reward scheme will also extend to individual performers across the two competitions. Players named Best Player of the Season and coaches who win Coach of the Season awards in both leagues will also drive away with new cars.
Several vehicle models are expected to be included in the sponsorship package, among them the JAC JS2, JAC JS4 and JAC JS6.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, GFA Vice-President Mark Addo described the partnership as an important step toward motivating excellence in Ghana football.
According to him, the Football Association remains focused on creating better incentives for clubs, players and technical staff while improving the overall standard of the domestic game.
Chief Executive Officer of Tryton Motors Ltd, Jihad Hijazi, also explained that the collaboration is intended to inspire stronger competition and increase the visibility of football across the country.
The latest sponsorship deal forms part of broader efforts by the GFA to strengthen commercial investment in Ghana football and enhance rewards for outstanding achievement in both the men’s and women’s leagues.
