Ghanaian midfielder Amankwah Forson has been crowned the winner of Norwich City’s Goal of the Season award for the 2024/25 campaign, following a fan vote that recognised his spectacular strike against Coventry City.

The 22-year-old, currently on loan from Red Bull Salzburg, delivered a moment of brilliance back in January when he unleashed a thunderous volley that kickstarted a dramatic comeback for the Canaries.

The goal, which was the first of his late brace, ultimately secured all three points in a 2-1 win for Norwich in injury time.

Despite battling injuries for parts of the season, Forson has managed to make a significant impact in the Championship. He featured in 21 matches, scoring two goals and providing two assists. His dynamism and attacking flair have made him a fan favourite at Carrow Road.

Looking ahead, the Black Stars midfielder is expected to play a key role in Norwich’s campaign next season as the club eyes a return to the Premier League.

The award further cements Forson’s status as one of the most exciting young Ghanaian talents currently playing in Europe.
