The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the official calendar for the 2026/27 domestic football season, outlining start dates for both the top-flight and second-tier competitions.

According to the schedule released by the Association, the Ghana Premier League will begin over the weekend of September 4–7, 2026, and conclude between May 28–31, 2027. The timeline aligns with the broader football calendar approved for the season.

League fixtures will largely maintain a weekend format, with midweek dates reserved strictly for rescheduled or outstanding matches, ensuring consistency in match planning.

The GFA also provided details for the Access Bank Division One League, which is set to commence later in the month, from September 18–21, 2026. The competition will run until May 24, 2027, covering 30 match weekends across its three zones.

Unlike the top-flight, the Division One League will operate exclusively on weekends, with no provision for midweek fixtures in its schedule.

The announcement offers clubs, players and stakeholders a clear framework for planning ahead of the new season
