GFA Charges Hearts of Oak and Hussein Mohammed Over Post-Match Misconduct in Super Clash
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has levelled disciplinary charges against Accra Hearts of Oak SC and midfielder Hussein Mohammed following incidents that unfolded after their Ghana Premier League Super Clash defeat to Asante Kotoko SC.
In a statement released after the game, the GFA confirmed that both the club and the player had breached Articles 16(2)(b), 12(1)(k), and 34(6)(d) of the GFA Disciplinary Code (2019) as well as provisions of the GFA Premier League Regulations (2025).
According to the Association, Hearts of Oak failed to maintain proper control over its players and officials after the final whistle, leading to several individuals confronting the referee in what was described as a disorderly and aggressive manner.
The club’s supporters were also accused of throwing objects onto the pitch, endangering match officials and players.

Furthermore, midfielder Hussein Mohammed faces an individual charge for allegedly assaulting the match referee shortly after the game ended.
The GFA Disciplinary Committee has instructed both the club and the player to submit their responses by Tuesday, November 11, 2025, to aid the adjudication process.
The sanctions came in right after the high profile Super Clash at the Accra Sports Stadium, which ended in a 1-0 win for Asante Kotoko courtesy of a goal from Morifing Donzo.
If found guilty, Hearts of Oak and Hussein Mohammed could face fines, suspensions, or other disciplinary actions as stipulated under the GFA regulations.
