Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance after securing a valuable point in their hard-fought draw against Aduana FC on Saturday afternoon.

The Yellow and Mauves faced Aduana in a Week 9 Ghana Premier League encounter at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Stadium in Dormaa, a venue known for its difficulty for visiting teams. Despite an entertaining contest filled with end-to-end action, both sides failed to break the deadlock, with the match ending 0-0 after 90 minutes.

Speaking after the game, Coach Tanko praised the attitude and dominance of his players, describing the point gained away from home as a positive result.

“I think we did very well. My team dominated from the first minute to the last, and it’s very unfortunate that the last free kick didn’t go in. But I’m very satisfied with the performance of my team today. Coming to Aduana and taking a point is very, very good for us,” Tanko said.

The stalemate marked another disciplined defensive showing from Medeama, who created several scoring opportunities but were denied by Aduana’s resilient backline and an inspired goalkeeping display.

With the result, Medeama SC remain second on the Ghana Premier League table with 17 points, continuing their strong start to the 2025/26 campaign. However, the Tarkwa-based side could slip down the standings depending on other Matchday 9 results.

Tanko and his men will now turn their focus to their next fixture, where they aim to return to winning ways and maintain pressure on the league leaders.
