CF Montréal forward Prince-Osei Owusu has been rewarded for his impressive run of form after being voted the club’s Player of the Month for April.

The Ghanaian striker delivered a series of influential performances throughout the month, becoming a central figure in Montréal’s attacking setup in the Major League Soccer.

Owusu recorded two goals and three assists across four league matches in April, contributing directly to five goals during that period as the Canadian outfit pushed to regain momentum in the campaign.

His latest recognition further highlights the impact he has made since taking over as club captain before the start of the 2026 MLS season.

The 29-year-old has developed into one of Montréal’s most reliable performers this year, combining leadership with consistent attacking production. Across 11 league appearances so far, Owusu has registered 11 direct goal involvements.

The striker has found the net six times while also providing five assists, underlining his growing influence in the final third and his all-round contribution to the team.

Owusu’s recent displays are also expected to strengthen his standing within the Ghana national football team setup after receiving his first senior national team invitation for the 2025 Kirin Cup.

Born in Germany and formerly involved with Germany’s youth national teams, the forward later switched international allegiance to Ghana and is now positioning himself as a strong option for the Black Stars ahead of upcoming assignments.

With preparations continuing toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Owusu’s consistent performances could provide an important boost for Ghana’s attacking options in the months ahead.
