Genk honour Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil as one of three best players from 2022/23 season

KRC Genk has honoured Ghana international Joseph Paintsil for his sterling performance for the club last season. Despite, Genk finishing second in the top-flight, the Belgian Jupiler Pro League giant’s have recognised some players including Paintsil.

The winger was amongst three standout performers of KRC Genk campaign last season as three players were honoured in addition to the Ghanaian.

The awards ceremony took place at the Cegeka Arena before the club’s last pre-season friendly against English Premier League side Burnley on Saturday.

During the event, Joseph Paintsil was joined by Mike Tresor Ndayishimiye and Patrik Hrosovsky as the recipients of the three coveted accolades.

The Black Stars forward, was in fine form throughout last season, consistently scoring and assisting the record double figures.

In 39 appearance, Paintsil contributed to 32 goals, scoring 18 goals and assisting 14 across all competitions.
