Tariq Lamptey assist twice in Brighton win at Manchester
Tariq Lamptey on Saturday afternoon, made a sensational return from injury to feature in Brighton and Hove Albion big win at Manchester in the 2023-24 English Premier league.
The versatile Ghana international suffered an injury in the later part of last season and could not play a game since March, but is back following a successful rehabilitation.
Last week, he played for Brighton U21 team in their win over Chelsea FC in the Premier League 2.
On Saturday, he made his first start for Brighton first team since January and he went on to record two assists at Old Trafford against Manchester United. Playing as a left-back, didn’t hamper the youngster from exhibiting his proficiency and prowess upfront.
Tariq, provided an assist to Pascal Gross and Joao Pedro to guide them to a sweet victory. Both was in the second half and in a space of 18 minutes.
The Black Stars defender who started the game lasted 77′ minutes before James Milner took over. He also suffered a yellow card in the 4th minute to become the first player in the clash.
