FC Samartex 1996 striker Emmanuel Mamah has been named the NASCO Player of the Month for April following a string of electrifying performances in the Ghana Premier League.

Mamah, who has emerged as a key figure for the Timber Giants this season, scored six goals in April alone — nearly half of his club’s total 13 goals for the month. His most notable performance came on Matchday 29, when he bagged a brace against Basake Holy Stars and was duly awarded the NASCO Player of the Match accolade.

With seven goals in 31 appearances this season, Mamah currently leads the scoring charts for FC Samartex 1996. His reward for the monthly honour includes a 42-inch NASCO television set, courtesy of Electroland Ghana Limited.

In the same period, Nations FC’s Rabin Ousmane Sanon was named the Goalkeeper of the Month for April by the Ex-National Goalkeepers Union (NEGO). The Burkinabé shot-stopper was instrumental in Nations FC’s surge to the top of the league standings, keeping four clean sheets across five matches.

Sanon’s standout displays included three consecutive shutouts against Karela United, Legon Cities, and Accra Lions. He conceded only once in the entire month — in a 1-1 draw with Young Apostles. It is his first time winning the NEGO award, and his prize package includes a branded towel, water bottle, pair of gloves, and T-shirt from the Ex-National Goalkeepers Union.

Capping off the April accolades, Nations FC head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle was honoured as the NASCO Premier League Coach of the Month. This is his second such award of the season.

Coach Mingle steered his side to four wins in five outings, collecting 12 of a possible 15 points. His tactical discipline saw Nations FC score five goals and concede just one during the month, further cementing their position as title contenders.

The trio of Emmanuel Mamah, Rabin Sanon, and Coach Mingle were celebrated for their excellence and consistency during a pivotal month in the league, as the title race and relegation battles intensify heading into the final stretch of the 2024/25 season.
