Eleven Ghana Premier League rep's officially make move for GFA ExCO positions

The Ghana Football Association(GFA), last week Friday, August 11 2023 closed nominations for filing of forms for the upcoming elections on GFA Presidency and Executive Council.

The five days period elapsed Friday, August 11 2023 but saw many within the Premier league pick up forms to contest for a position on Executive Council. Wednesday, September 27 2023 at 10:00 AM in Tamale elections for the representatives to the Executive Council will be held.

This will be followed by the elections of three individuals to represent the Division One League clubs on the Executive Council.

11 individuals including former Ghana national team coach James Kwesi Appiah filed nomination to be elected to the national executive Council.

The experienced Ghanaian coach is contesting on the ticket of his former club Asante Kotoko SC, where he’s currently the technical director.

Moro Brimah popularly known as Alhaji Akambi also filed to be elected unto the ExCO on the ticket of Accra Hearts of Oak SC.

Karela United FC Chief executive officer Elloeny Amande has also taken the first step to getting a slot on the Executive Council. Nana Oduro Sarfo who served as a member of the Ghana Football Association under Kurt Okraku is also seeking re-election.

Meanwhile, only five slots is allocated for the Ghana Premier League clubs on the ExCO.
