Ghanaian midfielder Mawuli Mensah has completed a sensational move to the Spanish La Liga after a successful negotiations on Monday, July 31 2023.
Following his exploit with Antequera CF which caught the eye of Real Betis team, that acquired him on a permanent contract. He signed a three-year deal making the move from Antequera CF.
The 19-year-old was an integral member of Antequera CF during their qualifiers to the First RFEF league.
Real Betis confirmed his signing and expressed their excitement over the young footballer’s arrival. The midfielder will has his contract run until 2026.
Mensah also expressed his joy after putting pen to paper with Real Betis and conveyed his ambition to make a significant impact in the upcoming season. He shared his dream of eventually progressing to the first team.
“I’m very happy for this opportunity. My dream is to go up to the first team,” Mensah said.
Mensah for now will be augmented into the youth team to continue his development whiles manager Manuel Pelligrini keep an eye on him to gradually integrate him into the first team.
Mensah is a product of Shooting Stars in Accra.
