Only two candidates pick forms for 2023 GFA Presidential elections

Filing of nominations for the 2023 Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidential Elections is closed. It was opened for a period of five days between Monday, August 7- Friday, August 11 at exactly 5pm.

With an amount of GHC50,000 charged for the filing of Presidency, only two persons within the Associations could file their nominations.

It’s official that, only former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice-president George Akwesi Afriyie is contesting incumbent Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku for the upcoming elections. Kurt filed his nomination on Friday and few hours later President and bankroller of lower-tier club Planners Athletic Club (Susubiribi SC) did the honorable by filing his.



Despite, Nana Jantuah of Berekum Chelsea FC making his decision known of contesting the presidential elections failed to pick forms, likewise former Western Region RFA boss Kojo Yankah. According to the later, Kurt Okraku is afraid of him, a reason for putting up such a Roadmap to distract him and will not give him enough time file nomination.
