Dreams FC have secured a first leg advantage over Sierra Leone club FC Khallon after beating them 2-1 in the second preliminary round game in Ghana.

The Ghanaian MTN FA Cup Champions, made their intentions widely known immediately from kick off at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.

The homesters had luck fell on their side with their second chance of the game, which saw Godfred Atuahene breaking the deadlock in the first quarter. He pounced a beautiful chance to set the pace up in the 11th minute mark.

The visitors, levelled on the struck of half time exactly on the 45th minute, punching straight into the hearts of the home fans. Despite, severe pressure from Dreams FC in the additional minute, FC Kallon held on to a 1-1 draw at the break with Daniel Karim equalizer.



After recess, Coach Karim Zito boys reorganised and introduced a whole extra energy.

Starting on a brilliant foot, they pushed FC Kallon backline to the wall as they failed to keep their calm causing a penalty after 10 minutes into the encounter.

Jalilu converted calmly from the spot to put his side back infront before the hour mark.

The Sierra Leone club failed to show up when it mattered must, as three clear chances were misued which by many was easy to score than miss.

Nevertheless, that was the the advantage of the home team who cruised to a 2-1 deserving victory infront on their fans.

The job is not than for the Still Believe side, they will travel to Sierra Leone for the reverse fixture two weeks time. Winner of the game, will progress to the group stage of the 2023-24 CAF Confederation Cup.
