Asante Kotoko SC new midfielder, Michael Dwamena Kyei has asked fans of his new club to always be available to watch his skills when the 2023-24 League season starts.

He joined the Reds on a three-year contract from lower-tier club WAFA, where he rose to become the captain.

As a defensive midfielder, who has the qualities of Manchester City’s Rodri and Jorginho of Arsenal he wants to live his dream at the Ghanaian giant’s during his stay.

Speaking to the club YouTube, the 23-year-old said he isn’t going to do anything extraordinary but promises to give his best to the club.

“Kotoko fans should expect simple me, am not coming to do everything extraordinary. But am coming to make the game simple and enjoyable to everyone.

And we all will see it, I will bring that out but am a team player. I have to make sure, the team comes together.

“And if am in the midfield and I connect the attack and defence that is the together am talking about. They should expect that, we will come together and make Kotoko great.

Asante Kotoko SC will commence their campaign with a game at home to Premier League returnees Hearts of Lions on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Dwamena is expected to make the matchday squad.
