The 33-year-old forward has seen his way into Ghana’s squad for the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Central African Republic next week.

The four-time African champions will host Central African Republic in their last Group H fixture of the qualifiers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi as they hope to avoid defeat for qualification. On Saturday, head coach of the side Chris Hughton announced a 25-man squad for the crunchy encounter.

The squad is made up of three goalkeepers, eight defenders and seven midfielders as well as seven forwards.

In the squad is Andre Ayew Morgan, who is unattached and club-less. He last played for English side Nottingham Forest and was released in June upon the expiration of his short term contract.

Currently, he is without any club but trains individually.

He has been included in the squad for the upcoming assignment.
