Ghanaian international Emmanuel Toku has completed a move to Danish Division one side Aalborg after weeks of negotiations.
Toku, a former Ghana U-20 attacker secured this move on the transfer deadline day.
He joined the Danish club on a season-long loan from Belgian side OH Lueven.
The 23-year-old joined the Belgian side early this year after impressing at Botev Plovdiv in Bulgaria.
Aalborg sports director Ole Jan Kappmeier after securing his signature expressed delight.
“Emmanuel Toku is an exciting offensive profile who can play both on the edge and as eight and ten. Right now he lacks match training, but he is both strong with the dribble, is a shooting threat and has speed, and he is also an excellent pressure player, which is why we have confidence that he can contribute, so that we can hopefully continue our good start to the season.”
Emmanuel Toku also spoke after putting pen to paper.
“When I was presented with the opportunity to come to AaB, I said yes straight away. AaB is a great club that I want to be a part of and I am very happy to be here.
“I know the NordicBet League from my time in Fremad Amager and know that it is a good league with difficult opponents, but I hope to be able to contribute to us winning a lot of games and hopefully moving up into the country’s best division”
Toku in Bulgaria scored eight goals and provided six assists in 70 matches, before being sold to Belgian football in January 2023.
