Dutch club, AFC Ajax Amsterdam has rejected a bid from English club WestHam United FC for their attacking midfielder Kudus Mohammed.

The 23-year old is courted by several European clubs but has declined a move though, he is expected to exit Ajax this summer transfer. He was an inch away from joining Brighton and Hove Albion but deal collapsed after the player asked for a specific clause to be made in his contract.

WestHam United has completed personal terms with the Ghana international but seems struggling to meet the demands of AFC Ajax. The Hammers advanced in talks with the Dutch Eredivisie over Mohammed Kudus for £35m.

However, bid has been rejected with the club expected to go back in with improved offer.

Ajax are now asking €51.5M for Mohammed Kudus.

The former FC Nordsjaelland star will see his contract elapse in 2025 with Ajax and has already declined contract extension.
