Remo Stars coach Daniel Ogunmodede anticipates tough fixture ahead of Medeama clash

Remo Stars FC head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has reacted to his side draw with Ghanaian domestic champions Medeama SC in the CAF Champions League competition.

Remo Stars will lock horns with the Mauves and Yellow outfit in the Preliminary stage of the 2023-24 CAF Champions League as they hope to advance to next stage of it before making a place in the Group phase.

Having noticed his side, will face Medeama SC this is what head coach of the Nigerian club said;“Despite not being considered a force to be reckoned with, their recent league victory by a points difference of 5 serves as a testament to their strength on the field”

Meanwhile, he remains calm and confidence there is a way to pass by this test.

“They won the league with a points difference of 5, it mean they will be a very tough opponent but I have something that will favor my team going into this tie. I am a very experienced coach, and I’m looking forward to an entertaining fixture,” he told Happy FM.

Medeama will first play host to Remo Stars at the Cape Coast Stadium before travelling to Nigeria for the second leg. The first preliminary round is scheduled from 18-20 August and 25 – 27 August for the second leg encounters.

The winner of this tie will play against Guinean giants Horoya AC in the second preliminary round to fight for a place in the group stage.
