Queiroz Vows Total Commitment as He Begins Black Stars Mission
Newly appointed Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has pledged to give his all in service of Ghana football, describing his new role as a mission rather than just another coaching job.
In his first message following his appointment by the Ghana Football Association, the experienced Portuguese tactician struck a tone of humility and determination, emphasizing his readiness to lead the national team into a new era ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“It is with a deep sense of gratitude to GFA, responsibility and humility that I embrace this new chapter with the National Football Team of Ghana. Football has given me a lifetime of challenges, lessons, and unforgettable journeys, all over the world. Today, I accept this mission with the same passion and commitment that have guided me throughout my career.”
Queiroz acknowledged Ghana’s rich football heritage, expressing admiration for the country’s talent and deep-rooted passion for the game while outlining his vision for unity and discipline within the squad.
