Queiroz Explains Partey Selection Amid Ongoing Legal Case Ahead of World Cup

Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has addressed the controversy surrounding Thomas Partey’s inclusion in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, insisting that the midfielder remains entitled to the presumption of innocence while legal proceedings continue in England.

Partey, one of Ghana’s most experienced players, was named in Queiroz’s final squad despite currently facing multiple criminal charges. The former Arsenal midfielder has pleaded not guilty to all allegations and continues to deny any wrongdoing.
