Dormaa-based Aduana Stars have announced the return of Romanian tactician Aristică Cioabă as their head coach.

The tactician arrived in Ghana today to finalize talks for the head coach position in Dormaa in the hope of  being  a replacement for Yaw Acheampong, who was dismissed after a poor run of results.

The two-time Ghana Premier League champions  confirmed the appointment via Facebook on Tuesday, December 10, sharing: “Aristică is home. Welcome back, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐛𝐚.”

Cioabă has a history with Aduana Stars, having first taken charge of the club in 2011 when he succeeded the late Herbert Addo. He returned for a second stint in the 2015/16 season, guiding the Ogya Boys to an impressive second-place finish in the Ghana Premier League.

The 54-year-old will bring a wealth of experience, having previously managed Tanzanian side Azam FC and, most recently, Bangladesh Premier League club Police FC.

Aduana Stars are currently 13th on the league log and will lock horns with Berekum Chelsea this weekend in the Ghana Premier League.
