Asante Kotoko S.C. head coach Prince Owusu has called on supporters to remain patient and continue backing the team as they navigate a difficult spell in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, managing just one victory in their last five matches while suffering three defeats and a draw. The run has cast doubt among sections of the fanbase about the club’s chances of mounting a serious title challenge this season.

Addressing the growing concerns ahead of Kotoko’s upcoming clash with Nations FC, Owusu acknowledged the frustration among supporters but insisted there is still reason for optimism.

“Yeah, I don’t blame them for giving up and everything, but I still want to tell them that there’s hope. And then we are ready to turn this around. Where we are in the league, that’s not where we’re going to end up. So, they should be with us till we get up there. So, we will be happy together,” the coach said.

Owusu emphasized that the players are fully committed to improving results and regaining momentum as the season progresses.

Kotoko will have an immediate opportunity to respond when they host Nations FC in their next league fixture, scheduled for Sunday, March 22 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with kickoff set for 3:00 pm.

The encounter presents a crucial moment for the Reds to rebuild confidence and reconnect with their supporters as they aim to climb back into contention.
