Asante Kotoko S.C. head coach Prince Owusu has revealed a renewed sense of determination within his squad ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League encounter against Nations FC.

The Porcupine Warriors are set to host their regional rivals in a Week 26 fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, March 22, with all eyes on a response from the home side.

According to Owusu, the team has intensified preparations in training and is approaching the match with a clear objective—securing all three points.

“Yeah, I think preparation has been very, very high since last week. We played a pretty match, and then we came back, started training Tuesday, and we’ve done a lot that we are trying to prepare the boys that we need to win and win badly,” the Kotoko coach said.

The coach also highlighted a positive shift in mentality within the squad, noting increased unity and confidence among the players heading into the high-stakes fixture.

“So, with the boys, their mentality and everything, I’ve shifted, I’ve seen that they’re all even together, talking to each other. Some of them are even approaching me, telling me this game is a win game, so it looks very good.”

The clash is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm, as Kotoko aim to assert their dominance at home and strengthen their position in the Ghana Premier League standings.
