Plymouth Argyle Sign Michael Baidoo in Record-Breaking Deal

Plymouth Argyle FC have completed the signing of Ghanaian international Michael Baidoo in a landmark transfer that underscores the club’s ambitious vision for the future.

The 25-year-old midfielder, known for his versatility and goal-scoring prowess, joins the English Championship side on a long-term contract running until the summer of 2028.

Baidoo arrives from Swedish giants IF Elfsborg, where he delivered an outstanding season in both the Allsvenskan and European competitions.

He netted 10 league goals and provided four assists, while also contributing five goals and three assists in Elfsborg’s Europa League campaign.

Head of Recruitment Jimmy Dickinson expressed delight at the acquisition, describing Baidoo as a “dynamic and versatile talent with proven pedigree.” He added, “Michael’s decision to join Plymouth highlights the belief he has in our project, and we’re confident he will be a major asset for the team.”

Donning the number 30 jersey, Baidoo is set to make his debut, subject to international clearance, in Argyle’s January 11 clash against Brentford.
