Otumfuo Osei Tutu II promise to make Asante Kotoko SC great again

His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu has vowed to make Asante Kotoko SC great again after the team fell off with poor management and could not inspire positive results in recent time.

In the last five years, Asante Kotoko SC have won two Ghana Premier League titles but participated in the CAF Inter-Club competitions thrice. Nevertheless, disappointed their fans and the nation with poor results. 

With Life Patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II dissolving the 12-member board and management team after their 3-year tenure of office elapsed has constituted am Interim Management Committee(IMC)to steer the team to a right path for the upcoming 2023-24 BetPawa Premier League.

The IMC is made of former Ghana national team coach James Kwesi Appiah, Emmanuel Daseberi and Nana Aprinkra Akwasi Awuah. 

At a meeting in Manhyia on Monday afternoon, which had the playing body and the IMC around his Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II disclosed that he is committed to making the Porcupine Warriors great again. Therefore, a new direction needs to be channelled.

“Whatever I will do to make team great again, I will do. What I am expecting from you all is unity to make Kotoko great again,” Otumfuo said.

Meanwhile, Prosper Narteh Ogum has officially being unveiled Asante Kotoko SC new head coach.

He is the last trainer to win the Reds Premier league title, thus 2021-22 league season.
