Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams has highlighted what he describes as a key achievement during his tenure, pointing to the Black Stars’ unbeaten record in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as evidence of effective leadership and support.

Speaking on Asempa FM, the Minister attributed the team’s consistency during the qualifying campaign to deliberate efforts in motivation and close engagement with players and officials.

“Under my tenure as Sports Minister, the Black Stars did not lose a single match during the World Cup qualifiers, except for the two recent friendly games. I achieved this through engagement and motivation,” Adams stated.

Ghana navigated the qualification phase without defeat, securing their place at the global tournament with a series of disciplined performances. The run, however, was followed by setbacks in preparatory friendlies, which have since sparked debate over the team’s readiness ahead of the World Cup.

With preparations intensifying, the focus has now shifted toward translating that earlier momentum into competitive performances on the world stage, as Ghana aims to make a strong impression at the tournament.
