Jeffrey Schlupp has confirmed his departure from Crystal Palace, bringing an emotional close to an eight-year stint with the Premier League club.

The Ghana international, who joined the Eagles from Leicester City in 2017, amassed 247 appearances across all competitions, becoming a dependable figure for the London-based side. His versatility and work ethic endeared him to fans and coaches alike, operating across multiple roles in defence and midfield.

Schlupp, 32, recently completed a successful loan spell with Scottish champions Celtic, where he played a key role in their title-winning campaign. As he now prepares for the next chapter of his career, the former Foxes defender took time to reflect on his journey with Palace in a heartfelt farewell message.

“It’s been an incredible eight years playing for this club,” Schlupp said. “I’ve met some great people – the Chairman, the gaffer, and all the staff I’ve met over the years – and it’s meant a lot to have played for Crystal Palace. A big ‘thank you’ to this group, who have achieved something so special.”

Renowned for his pace, strength, and tactical awareness, Schlupp was also quick to acknowledge the unwavering support from the Selhurst Park faithful, who played a crucial role during his time at the club.

“You ask anybody about the Palace fans, and they know about the atmosphere that they create… They’ve been our 12th man – so thank you to all the fans who have always supported me,” he added.

“Hopefully, I’ve done you proud. I’ll definitely see you again soon.”

Schlupp leaves behind a legacy of professionalism and commitment, having contributed to some of Palace’s most memorable moments in recent seasons. His next destination remains unconfirmed, but the veteran player is expected to attract interest from clubs across Europe and beyond.
