GPL: “The Super Clash is Not Determined by Current Form”- Evans Owusu

Former Asante Kotoko defender, Evans Owusu has shared his view on the much-anticipated Super Clash between Ghanaian football giants, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

The two most successful teams in Ghana will lock horns in a Ghana Premier League fixture at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday, 15th December 2024.

Ahead of the crucial game, Evans Owusu, a former player of the Porcupines has shared his thoughts on the importance and unpredictability of the iconic “Super Clash.”

“Hearts of Oak vs Asante Kotoko is a big game any day. It’s a game every player dreams of playing because every football-loving fan has their attention on it. Aside from the three points, the game determines who earns the bragging rights.” He told sportsboom.

The former Kotoko star stressed the need for mental and physical preparedness from players as they approach this fiercely contested fixture

“As a player, you have to be physically and mentally ready for the game. Football is full of uncertainties, and anything can happen. The Super Clash is not determined by the current form of both teams.” He added.

The home side, Kotoko is 7th on the log with 18 points while Hears of Oak are 6th with 19 points.
