Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has set his sights on a historic domestic double following his side’s qualification to the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup.

The “Mauve and Yellow” booked their place in the last four with a commanding 3-0 victory over Attram De Visser Academy at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.

Although the contest remained deadlocked after regulation time, Medeama’s persistence paid off in extra time, where Kelvin Nkrumah delivered a stunning hat-trick to seal the win against the resilient Division One side.

With Medeama also leading the Ghana Premier League table, the club remains firmly on course for a potential league and cup double—a feat that would mark a significant milestone in their history.

Tanko, however, dismissed any notion of prioritising one competition over the other, insisting his squad is equipped to challenge on all fronts.

“I always said we are competing with every cup that we have. So, definitely, we are going for both, and then we’ll see what will happen,” he added.

Currently sitting top of the league standings with 46 points after 25 matches, Medeama’s momentum continues to build as they push to turn their ambitious double dream into reality.
