Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara, has expressed confidence ahead of his side’s crucial Ghana Premier League clash against Accra Lions, aiming for a full three points in what he anticipates will be a highly competitive encounter.

The Phobians will face off against the relegation-threatened Accra Lions this Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium, with both teams chasing vital points for differing ambitions — Hearts of Oak eyeing a top-four finish and Lions fighting for survival.

In a pre-match interview on Thursday, Coach Ouattara acknowledged the threat posed by Accra Lions and stressed the importance of maintaining focus throughout the match.

“Accra Lions is a good team. This is not going to be a small match. It can be one of the toughest matches for both teams. I hope we can get the maximum points, but it’s going to be difficult,” Ouattara remarked.

The stakes are high for both sides going into the 4 pm kickoff. Hearts of Oak, one of Ghana’s most storied clubs, are looking to close the gap on the top four with just a few games remaining in the season. On the other hand, Accra Lions are desperate to climb out of the relegation zone and will view the match as a must-win.

Coach Ouattara, who has been steadily building confidence within the Hearts squad, believes the team’s preparation will be key.
