Nations FC head coach Frimpong Manso has acknowledged the difficult position his side finds itself in as the club heads into the final weekend of the Ghana Premier League season fighting to avoid relegation.

The pressure surrounding Nations FC has intensified in recent weeks following a poor run of form that has dragged the club into the bottom half of the table and left supporters increasingly frustrated.

Last weekend’s disappointing 1-0 home defeat further deepened concerns around the team’s survival hopes and reportedly sparked angry reactions from some supporters after the final whistle.

With a crucial final-day encounter against Karela United approaching, Manso admitted the situation has been emotionally challenging for both the technical team and players.

“It’s been difficult. Looking at our last game, we lost at home, and at this time of the season, we felt it, but then we had to let it go because we have another game. It’s not been easy, but life goes on,” he told Nations FC TV.

The experienced coach stressed that his side understands the magnitude of Sunday’s fixture and believes victory remains the only acceptable outcome.

“We all know how difficult the game against Karela United is going to be, but we have only one option, and that is to go out there and try to win,” he added.

Manso also revealed that the players have responded positively despite the tension surrounding the club and are determined to make amends in the final round of the campaign.

“So we understand what is going on. The players are also feeling it. But we have psyched ourselves because we still have the opportunity to make amends,” he said.

The decisive Week 34 showdown between Karela United and Nations FC is scheduled for Sunday at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, with kick-off set for 3:00 pm.
