Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani says his team must maintain a winning mentality and stay true to their playing identity when they face Medeama SC in their final Ghana Premier League fixture of the season.

The Phobians will host the newly crowned league champions in a crucial Week 34 clash at the Accra Sports Stadium as they seek to end the campaign on a positive note.

Hearts head into the encounter after a mixed run of results, having recorded one victory, two draws and two defeats in their last five league matches.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference, Dramani acknowledged the difficulty of the challenge but stressed that his side’s focus remains on imposing themselves and controlling the game.

“I think that this is the Premier League and then in the Premier League all the games are very tough and this is one of them,” he told Hearts TV.

“We have to always try to come out into games prepared to win games, prepared to express our identity and then to try to control the opponent.”

The experienced tactician also highlighted the importance of understanding both his team’s strengths and the qualities Medeama possess heading into the contest.

“And then try to prevail our identity and so I think that we know what strength they have and then we also know what strengths we have in our team, and then we try to consolidate our strengths, and then also manage the opponent’s capabilities,” he added.

Medeama arrive in Accra with confidence after sealing their second Ghana Premier League title in three seasons, while Hearts of Oak will be eager to finish the season with a strong home performance against the champions.
